What Causes Pressure And Pain While Passing Urine?

Question: Hi. I have a gynecology question. I have had mild discomfort around my left ovary for years. It has been palpated and cleared by my gyno several times and nothing has been notable. It bothers me off and on a few days per month and I have assumed it is related to ovualation. I moved to Canada two years ago and now have access to only urgent care medicine, no OBGYN. Two months ago, I had a lot of pressure and pain in the same area, as well as constant urge to urinate. The MD asked very few questions, prescribed an antibiotic for UTI even though the rapid test was negative, due to symptoms. They disappeared slowly over days.
One week ago, I started having mild LBP. Yesterday I began feeling pain and pressure in the area of the left ovary, cervix, and bladder. It was strong enough that I had difficulty walking and felt I had breathe through the pressure. I felt I constantly needed to urinate, but had very little volume on urination. The newest (and most alarming) symptom was feeling as if I had to push through an obstruction to urinate.

Today the pain and pressure are present and constant, but 50-60 percent the severity of last night. I went to Urgent Care again, my rapid test came back neg. for UTI. The MD did order a culture and an abdominal ultrasound. However, Mid August is the earliest Alberta will do the ultrasound.

I have constant pressure, frequent (obstructed) urination, and am very concerned that if it is a mass or tumor causing the obstruction, 2 months for a diagnosis is really waiting too long.

Am I overreacting? Is there a more simple, benign answer to my problem?
Thank you. XXXXXXX

Brief Answer:
Can be calculus.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
Feeling pain while passing the urine might be due to more acidic nature of the urine.
To prevent this, take more and more fluids per day.
Avoid acidic fruit juices like lime juice, orange juice, etc.
Plenty of cranberry juice will help in reducing the symptoms.
Examine the external genital area carefully for any injury and rashes.
If the symptoms do not improve you can get an ultrasound scan done to rule out any possibility of renal or ureteric calculus.
This can wait for 2 months. You can take urinary anti spasmodics for pain relief. It is not due to a tumor or mass. Please do not worry.
