Question : I am experiencing some fluttering in my stomach. I can feel it in my throat as well. It also feels like I have pressure in my head. I also have fatigue and feel lightheaded at times. Prior to the stomach fluttering I was feeling like someone punched me in the stomach. I do not a sour stomach nor have I had any vomiting. What could this be? Should I go to the ER or just wait it out?

                                    Brief Answer:
Probably benign
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome and thanks for your query.
Most of the upper abdominal fluttering are due to a benign condition called myokimia.
This is benign and nothing to worry much.
If you have palpitations or fluttering in the chest or if you develop abdominal pain or chest burning you should see a doctor.
Do get back to me if you have more queries.

How long will the fluttering/palpitations last? It has been going on for about a week now. I also have a little bit of a back ache but not sure if the back ache is caused by something else. Thank you.

Do you think it is an emergency or should I just schedule an appointment with my primary care doctor? Today was the first day I had a back ache. I don't know if I should go to the ER. The fluttering is really bothering me tonight. Last night it kept me awake.
