Question : I have some kind of pressure in my sinus for a month or more and used all the over the counter meds with no results so went to the allergy dr. and he gave me augmentin 875mg he then said it would take up to 2 weeks for results.I am at 12 days now and am still feeling bad with pullsading on top of head and pressure in right sinus. what can i expect or do now?

I read your question and i understand your concern. Some times acute sinusitis takes more than 2 weeks to recover. Saline nasal sprays, nasal corticosteroids, decongestants, antihistamines and over the counter pain relievers like tylenol and advil etc are the mainstay of treatment. If antibiotic is not being responded to, then its likely an allergic cause to it and may need immunotherapy. Talk to your doctor and explore some other options for it. Till that above mentioned supportive care would be more than enough. SInusitis is bothersome but purely benign and resolve in a couple of weeks.
