Brief Answer:
better to use Acetaminophen

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for writing to us.
Advil is ibuprofen which is a strong antipyretic.
It does cause the fever to come down rapidly.
No need to worry.
The cold cheeks and low temperature will spontaneously come back to normal in a few hours.
If he gets fever again use Acetaminophen or Tylenol.
This is a milder antipyretic.
Use Advil only if temperature is very high and not settling down with Tylenol.
Wishing your child good health and speedy recovery.
Regards
Dr Arun
