Question : Lately I sweat profusely during and after minor exertion. 62 M...no other symptoms, no new meds, type 2 diabetes and HBP controlled, EKG two days ago ok....electrolytes, cbc, comp metabolic panel ok plus other tests ok

Thanks for posting your query.
Profuse sweating during or after exertion ( mild ) is not normal. Either it is due to your blood sugar going low or due to heart problem .
Just a normal EKG doesn't guarantee that everything is fine with heart. I recommend you to get a test called Tread mill test and revert back with report.
Also I recommend you to check your blood sugar levels during and after exertion and let me know the values .

blood sugars are fine before and after 90 - 125...no shortness of breathe arrythmias, etc before or after. pulses normal I know the basics....kidney function fine and everything else.....just give me some possible causes aside from some of the obvious which I am already aware of.

Well there are many causes but I wanted the most common and obvious cause to be ruled out first.
Still you have not got a tread mill test done ( if done kindly upload the report).
Apart from these the other possible causes are :
1. Thyroid problems.
2. Adrenal problems .
3. Lung problems especial pulmonary hypertension.
4. Autoimmune vasculitis.
5. Carcinoid syndrome .
Before advising necessary test for the evaluation of these conditions I would like to go through the test reports of yours
