Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Welcome and thank you for asking on HCM!

I understand your concern and would explain that your symptoms could be related to different causes:

- possible viral infection. Although you have no fever, a viral infection can not be excluded.
- possible vestibular neuronitis. This is inflammation (possible viral) of the vestibular nerve, which is responsible for our body balance. Are dizziness and vomiting exacerbated by head or body movements? This would be an argument in favor of this diagnosis.
- a gastro-intestinal intoxication or infection. Did you eat something special last night?

What are your blood pressure values actually?

I would recommend going to the ER for a careful physical exam and some tests:

- a resting ECG
- a chest X ray study
- an abdominal ultrasound (especially if you have abdominal pain)
- some blood lab tests (complete blood count, PCR, sedimentation rate, fasting glucose, kidney and liver function tests, blood electrolytes)

You may need to be treated with intravenous fluids in order to avoid dehydration (as you keep vomiting) and antiemetics and other symptomatic treatments.

Hope to have been helpful!

Feel free to ask any other questions whenever you need!

Kind regards,

Dr. Iliri
