Question : I hit my brow bone and developed a very bad black eye that was swollen shut for several days. The swelling in that area is gone but still discolored. What I am worried about now is the swelling at the brow bone it has not changed at all in 2 weeks and is painful but not discolored. Is there anything to be concerned about? should I see my doctor?

Brief Answer:
not unusual

Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome.
It is not unusual for such injuries to cause prolonged swelling even up to 3 weeks so you should be patient but more, take anti-inflammatory painkiller and apply cold compresses. Although,if there is vision disorder, eye pain or tingling in this area, you should do ct scan .Wish you good health.
