What Causes Prominent Visible Indentation In The Skull?
Question: I have a two inch indentation from forehead towards back of head. It has gotten wider in the last 6 weeks. I did not have a recent fall or injury to that area, it has been about 9-12 weeks. I have always had headaches most days from allergies, sinus and migraines. I am not having headaches in that region, however. I do not have fevers either. I have however found myself trying to retrieve a word I hear in my head but find myself saying something different. That has only been happening in the past 3 - 4 weeks. IS this all stress and anxiety or do I need to see my Dr.?

Thank you for posting the question.
I have gone through your medical history in detail.
It seems that you have a localised flat bone disease of the skull bone,the etiology of which needs to be found out by doing necessary investigations.
This is causing indentation of the skull bone.If this indentation is not deep enough then it won't cause any symptoms to you.
But in your case,it seems that you have begun to have pressure symptoms from the indentation.
The indented bone is pressing over the brain tissue matter and causing raised intra cranial pressure.
I do not feel that this is just an anxiety or depression and you should seek medical attention at the earliest.
Consult a neurologist and get a CT scan of brain done.
Generalised hormonal derangements in adrenal,pituitary or parathyroid glands should be considered and a detailed hormonal blood assay should be done.
