                                            About precocious puberty in females:
Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for asking!
I can understand your concern regarding to your daughter's health.
Puberty that begins before age 8 in girls is considered precocious puberty.
It may be manifested with breast development, pubic or underarm hair growth, acne, menarke ect.
In these cases a pediatric endocrinologist should be seen.
The cause of precocious puberty often can't be found. Rarely, certain conditions, such as infections, hormone disorders, tumors, brain abnormalities or injuries, may cause precocious puberty.
After excluding one of the above mentioned pathologies, your physician will start treatment to postpone it.
Hope the information will help.
Kind regards,
Dr.Mirjeta

Thanks for your message. Like I had mentioned, she has gone through many laboratory tests for excatly removing the possibility of those problems you mentioned. But the doctor told us that there is no way to delay the puberty once it started. My actual question is how to postpone things or slow it down????

Detailed Answer:
Hi again,
GnRH agonists (Lupron) are used to delay the puberty process.
Your pediatric endocrinologist is the best authority on determining how and when to treat precocious puberty.
