Question : son had triple bypass 5 weeks ago now c/o pain in chest like pulling sensation has same opening at bottom of wound drainage watery yellow looking. He can hardly move without pain in chest and back neck not progressing well

I am sorry for the situation your son is in.

From what you are prescribing, my thoughts go for possible:
- pleuritis
- pericarditis
- infection of wound

At this point, the very first thing to do is to exclude pleuritis/pericarditis or any possible pleural effusion through:
- chest X-ray
- cardiac echo

I also recommend to run culture of the wound discharge to determine the microbial agent and the right antibiotic to fight the infection.
