Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for the query
Pulmonary aspiration is the entry of material (such as pharyngeal secretions, food or drink, or stomach contents) from the oropharynx into the larynx (voice box) and lower respiratory tract (the portions of the respiratory system from the trachea—i.e., windpipe—to the lungs).

First symptoms of aspiration are cough reflex, swallow reflex.

Other symptoms includes
Chest pain
Coughing up foul-smelling, greenish or dark phlegm (sputum), or phlegm that contains pus or blood
Fatigue
Fever
Shortness of breath
Wheezing
Breath odor
Excessive sweating
Problems swallowing

Consequences of pulmonary aspiration
1 Depend in part on the volume, chemical composition, particle size, presence or
absence of infectious agents, and underlying health status of the person.
2 It may cause pneumonia,
3 If size is big it may lead to death within minutes from asphyxiation.

Take care
