Question : I have a short, nagging, pulsating pain on the left hand side or my waist below my or equal to my rib cage. I thought it was gas, but gas usually goes away and this pain doesn't. It isn't a bad pain, but just annoying.

Dear Dr. XXXXXXX here are the answers to your questions: 1. I do not have any nausea or vomiting. 2. I have been taking medications for years for an uneven heart beat. The only recently added suplement I'm taking for my bladder is cranberry pills suggested by my urologist. These are over-the-counter sold pills. 3. My stools are medium brown and I move my bowels mostly daily. 4. The pain does not increase by my taking deep breaths. What is Tab Pantoprazole and can it be obtained without a prescription?
I did have colon cancer last year and am under close guidance by my oncologist. I had a CT scan with contrast in XXXXXXX and everything is fine. Other than this small pain, I lead a active, healthy life. Thank you XXXX

                                    Brief Answer:
Get Ultrasound and start Pantoprazole tablets
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX Thanks for the answers. Please go ahead with the Ultrasound abdomen. Start the tablets as I mentioned. They are proton pump inhibitors and effectively decrease the acid secretion of the stomach. You should be able to get them over the counter. Ultrasound will rule out any problem with your spleen. Do let me know the report as and when its available. Take care. If there are no further clarifications I would request you to rate the answer. Will look forward to hearing from you.
