What Causes Pulsating Sensation On Right Side Of Neck And High BP?

Question: I am 64 years old and have just noticed a very visible pulse on the right side of my neck above the collarbone. I am overweight and on medication for elevated blood pressure. I feel well and have no other symptoms. Would appreciate advice please

Thanks for the query.
I have read your query and understand your concern.
Since you are not having any symptoms,chances are that there should be no abnormality however sometimes blockages in carotid artery or if there is valvular abnormality or if blood pressure is high,it can result in visible Pulse in neck
Best for you would be to consult a cardiologist and get investigations like carotid Doppler and echocardiogram to know the exact status of your heart and carotid arteries.
