Question : I have been feeling throbbing or pulsating on the left side of my upper abdomen. No pain with it but its very odd.

Muscular twitches perhaps...

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

The odd throbbing/pulsation may be due to twitching muscles. Cause of muscle twitch is rapidly misfiring nerves; but generally misfiring happens due to benign and not serious conditions. Therefore do not be worried about it.

Let me know if you have other symptoms such as:
a) colicky pain
b) bowel and bladder disturbances
c) difficulties while passing urine / increased urination
d) the concern seems internal not the surface muscle twitch
