Brief Answer:
Nothing to worry about

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to HCM. Thank you for your question. I understand your concern.

Well, normal blood pressure is under 140/90 mmHg in resting state, and normal heart rate in resting state is 60-100 heart beats per minute. Under a lot of circumstances, like excessive physical activity, psychological stress, dehydration, excessive use of caffeine-containing beverages, these two parameters of human body increase over the upper limit of normal, and are still considered as normal.

Therefore, my opinion is that you have nothing to worry about. Acetaminophen (Panadol) does not have an affect on these parameters and is without harm. If I would be your doctor, I would choose between a beta-blocker or verapamil or diltiazem (from the calcium channel blocker family) to treat the high blood pressure because, besides having this effect, these drugs also have heart rate-lowering effect, therefore they reduce heart workload. You may discuss with your cardiologist regarding this.

However, as for the diarrhoea, I would recommend you to take Tab LOPERAMIDE 4 mg now, single dosage. Also, I would recommend (not urgent) you to take OTC orally administered electrolytes, since with diarrhoea one loses fluids, and with fluids also loses electrolytes such as sodium, potassium, magnesium etc. I think that loose motion will subside after taking this dosage of loperamide.

I hope I was helpful with my answer. I am here to help, if you have follow-up questions. Please feel free to ask .

Wish you a good health.

Kind regards,
Dr. Meriton
