Brief Answer:
Spondylottic changes likely.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The pain in left leg from hip down to ankle is likely to be due to a nerve related pain due to spondylottic changes in the lumbar spine. These are age related degenerative changes in the spine.
For this condition you have to do stretching & strengthening exercises in which you have to stretch tight muscle & strengthen weakened ones which will alleviate stress on facet joint and disc.
Do not lift heavy objects, especially after bending down. Eat a healthy wholesome meal which should satisfy your minerals and proteins requirement.

Do consult an orthopedician and get some muscle relaxants prescribed for relief.
I hope this answers your query.
