What Causes Raised Bump On Tip Of Penis?

default
Posted on Tue, 9 Sep 2014
Question: Hi just wondering what this is. It looks like a raised bump on the tip of my penis right beside the opening and it is soft just like the skin around it. It probably has been here about a year but never really thought much of it until now.

Brief Answer:
No worries

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking
Penile bumps in young age are usually innocuous and no symptoms and long persistence without any presentations make the odds more likely. Coital and groin hygiene are advised. If uncircumcised, therapeutic circumcision is needed. Rest such bumps are innocuous. Sexual active lives make the glands like sebaceous ones a bit enlarged. Soft tissue growth and repetitive trauma to the penis during coitus or masturbation or oral coitus may cause skin tags too. Also opening of the urethral meatus just varies in different people and that may also be confused with some bump.
Nut shell, no worries. Innocuous for sure. Get a dermatologist for further assessment.
I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.
May the odds be ever in your favour.

Khan
