Question : Hi I noticed a raised bump on top of my penile shaft near the head. and I popped it. it is now healed but still there is a bump. It is noticeable when the penis is not erect because of the color. but once erected, it is hardly noticeable. what could it be? It doesn't hurt even before I popped it.
Brief Answer:
It is definitely a Fordyce's Spot
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for query .
Based on what you have described the spot that you have on shaft of the penis is nothing but a Fordyce's spot .
The penile skin has plenty of sebaceous glands hence bound to have few accessory sebaceous glands which present as these white pointed spots containing sebum .
There is nothing to be worried about it .Normally these spots fade away spontaneously .
Ensure to maintain proper personal genital hygiene by washing genitals with warm water twice daily
Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions,I shall be happy to help you
Thanks and Regards.

Thank you doctor. But as you can see in the picture, it doesn't have a pointed head now that it is healed. Is this just a scar because of popping it? Will this go away? It was just worried because it is found far from the fordyce spots that I have. Thanks
