Brief Answer:
Consult dietician, regular exercise and dietary alteration

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX.
Welcome
I have gone through your query.
Your Body mass index, based on the height and weight mentioned by you is 29.8 Kg/m2. Indicating that you are in overweight category.

In the absence of any medical illness, to reduce weight you have to see dietician. I would not suggest you to take any medication for weight loss as they have their own side effects.

Successful weight loss should remains a healthy, calorie-controlled diet combined with exercise. For successful, long-term weight loss, you must make permanent changes in your lifestyle and health habits.

The target should not be a huge figure, and should be easily achieved with a balanced diet plan and regular physical activities.

In one month you can reasonably anticipate losing eight to 10 pounds if you follow a pretty strict plan.

Increasing the physical activities, helps you burn more calories and hence supports and accelerates the weight loss rate by increasing the metabolism.. At the same time reducing the total calorie intake ensures that the existing fat reserves are used for energy production.

Start regular exercises, brisk walk for 45 min is considered ideal for weight loss. You may start with 15 min and gradually add 2-4 minutes every day to reach 45 minutes. Try sit ups and abdominal crunches to tone up the abdominal muscles.

Reduce the total calorie intake. Avoid too sweet and starchy foods like sugar, sweets, refined and polished rice, etc

Add plenty of fibrous food to make up the volume, include raw salads, lettuce, sprouts, whole grains etc.Add more vegetables to the diet.

Saturated forms like pure ghee, cream, butter etc. are fattening. It is therefore advisable to prefer the vegetable oils in limited quantities.

The heavy pulses and legumes should be preferably taken for lunch. Eg. Take rajmah, black channa etc. for lunch. There should be at least one portion of fruit every day in the diet.
Consume low fat dairy products, and avoid butter etc. The meals should be small and frequent, with plenty of fluids. Take plenty of fluids, water, coconut water, juices will be helpful.

Hope this helps.
Take care.
