Question : I have a terrible rush on my forhead, the left eye is closed and all swollen up..My husband says apple cider vinegar, and of course cold water compresses. It came yesterday late afternoon and got worse over night. Is it the heat? We have almost 40 degree C.

Thank you for answering., No kn own allergies, but Dr. decided to go off Ramipril (1.25 mg). It seems to be a heat rush, getting now to the other eye too. No sweat but very uncomfortable. will try to send a picture, and probably go to the hospital.

A few suggestions, but difficult without being able to visually examine it

Hello once again ma'am.

It would have really helped if you could attach an image or email it to

But for now, with the provided information it could be something to do with either your blood pressure or an allergic reaction. I would recommend you checking your blood pressure and taking something to reduce it. Also at the same time, please try to get your hands on some anti-histamine medication like pheniramine, chlorpheniramine, etc.

Please also take an anti-inflammatory non-steroidal medication for the discomfort and swelling (e.g. ibuprofen, tylenol, etc.); and go about a cold pack application to help reduce the swelling for now.

Please also visit a doctor as I can only assume what could be wrong, and a blood investigation can accurately tell us what the cause could be and accordingly help treat you more rapidly and accurately.

Best wishes.
