What Causes Rashes Around The Mouth In An Infant?

Question : My daughter is 1.5 year old and having small dot kind of rashes near her mouth from past 2 days. No fever and any other symptoms. She is active.

What could be the reason for these rashes? Anything we can do for this please?

I have gone carefully through your query and understand your concerns. I have checked the attached image. It could be due to an allergic reaction but could have a fungal component as well. Giving some antiallergic like cetirizine or benadryl on one hand and applying Candid (clotrimazole) powder topically over the affected areas should help. You could also apply some emollient like calamine lotion or some moisturizer like aloe vera lotion.

It might take a few days to recover and so you need to be patient. Let me know if I could help further.
