Brief Answer:
Explained

Detailed Answer:
Hello again

Neomycin and polymyxin are local medications. They aren't used systemically. There is no such association of an allergic response with these two drugs.

It appears to be a staphylococcal skin infection. It would require oral antibiotics like cefaclor or amoxicillin clavulanate for adequate treatment.

Detailed Answer:
Hello again

Yes, Cephalexin can be used as an alternative. 500 twice a day would be adequate for a staph skin infection after the area is examined.

Thanks.
