What Causes Recurrent Balanitis?

Question: I had balanitis a couple of months back and it has recurred. This time there is bleeding in glans as well. Have been applying quadriderm for 2 weeks....infection seems to be reducing but last 2-3 days bleeding has started.

You have recurrence of Balanitis with bleeding from glans penis .The bleeding is most likely to be due to severe edema of the glans penis .

You need to take systemic antibiotic like Augmentin and anti inflammatory medication like Diclofenac twice daily along with topical antibiotic ointment Soframycin for local application over glans penis .

You may need to take medications for 4 weeks .

Ensure to wash and clean genitals with Betadine twice daiy .

Avoid sexual activities till it gets cured completely .

It was actually not 'bleeding' but a few drops of blood that appear towards evening or night. Becomes fine after cleaning. I have been applying quadriderm and inflammation on glans glans has subsided significantly. However, foreskin continues to remain sensitive and burns when I urinate. Saw a doctor who advised continued use of quadriderm and one tab of forcan 150mg every 5 days.

Please advise.

Also, I mix betadine with dove soap to clean....is that ok? Also, will applying coconut oil provide relief?

Thanks! The foreskin seems to have tightened....is there anything that can relieve that?

Are you able to retract foreskin over glans penis ?

The thickness of foreskin is mostly due to infection Posthatitis .

Consult qualified Urologist for clinical examination .He would be the best judge to pin point diagnosis and may decide regarding need for surgery of Circumcision .

Thanks....i can retract the foreskin...but it is a bit painful. But the primary discomfort is burning in foreskin when urinating.
