Question : I started a fever on Sunday evening. Temperature was 102.5. Only other symptons were chills and body aches. Felt better in the morning and went to work. Fever came back with same symptons. I've been able to keep food and fluids down with no problem and have urinated regularly. If I take Motrin, fever will break for a few hours and come back. Any ideas and I guess I better get to see my doctor???
Thanks, XXXXXXX XXXX

Brief Answer:
I will say give it 2 more days before seeing your doctor!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this fever that you have reported. I have reviewed your symptoms and the evolution and for now there is nothing to be very scared of. There are no red flags and I will advice that we exercise some patience before seeing a doctor. You have no other specific symptoms which suggests and infection somewhere else in the body. I will recommend you take stop Motrin and use tylenol every 8hours for at least 2days more. If this fails to help, then and only at that time should we seek further medical help.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thanks for using our services and do feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.
