What Causes Recurrent Foul Smelling Brownish Vaginal Discharge?

Question: Hello. I had two injections of the depoprovera birth control shot starting last year in january. I had horrible side effects including bleeding dark blood for 3 months straight (but no period), my breasts shrinking dramatically in size in short period of time, and my esteogen levels dropping significntly (had a hormonal test done). The depo provera has been out of my system for 2-3 months now and my body is slowly recovering as my periods have come back (had two so far) and my breasts are regaining their normal form. I assume my estrogen levels are rising as my body recovers.

However, i am now having an issue of brownish discharge that smells very bad. When my periods came back in September, i had my first yeast infection ever. Went to my doctor and he gave me Monistat. It went away. Then a few weeks later I had a strong odor. My doctor said it was a bacterial infection and gave me medication to insert in my vagina. It went away. Then a few weeks later again another yeast infection, this time stronger than the last. My doctor gave me an oral medication. It went away. Now a few weeks later, in the presesnt time, now a brownish smelly discharge is happening! I am so confused as to why this is happening. Is it related to my recovering estrogen levels? What should I do to get rid of the odor? Will this keep happening? What can I do to return to normal without returning yeast infection/odors. Ive never had any issues with my vagina until i went on birth control. Im glad that stuff is out of my body, but now im having all sorts of issues. I noticed the browninsh smelly discharge a few days ago on the day of an estimated ovulation in my cycle. I am suppose to get my period in a few days. Please help. My doctor is oblivious :( i dont want to keep experiencing this odor its embarasing and huniliating.

Brief Answer:
Blood sugar levels and pap smear

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
I understand the suffering you have gone through.
Recurrent foul smelling brownish vaginal discharge is due to vaginal infection or can be due to some local lesions in the vagina or cervix including cervical cancer.
You should get a proper internal pelvic examination by an OBGYN specialist to rule out any local lesions and get a pap smear done to rule chances of cervical cancer.
Recurrent yeast infection in vagina can occur in case of diabetes mellitus. So, I strongly suggest you to get your blood sugar levels checked and get appropriate treatment.
