May be abdominal migraine,if tests are normal
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX
Thanks for the query
Recurrent pain abdomen with vomiting in the presence of stress as a predisposing factor favors the diagnosis of abdominal migraine particularly when all the tests are negative.
Abdominal migraine is a condition which usually occurs in children and adolescents with recurrent pain abdomen and vomiting. There is propensity to develop migraine in future in such patients. In adults migraine causes headache, may be associated with vomiting or blurred vision.
Recurrent bouts of vomiting may also be cyclical vomiting syndrome. But it is less likely here as in this condition usually there is no headache.
Several ultrasounds have been done already. I assume blood tests like liver function test, kidney function test, amylase level had also been done.
As you have not mentioned I also assume that her menstrual cycles are normal.
There is no specific investigations for diagnosis of abdominal migraine and cyclical vomiting syndrome.
Drugs like propranolol prevents the recurrence of abdominal migraine.
I would suggest you to consult a pediatric neurologist/pediatrician for proper evaluation regarding this diagnosis and CECT abdomen may also be needed if suggested by your physician.
I hope this answers your query.
I will be glad to answer if there is any further query.
Regards
