i had pain that woke me up in my lower abdomen on Wed. then subsided on Saturday it came back with vengenice.Felt like kidney stone pain had a kub done 2 weeks ago had 2 small stones. don't think it would take that long to pass a stone as i have passed many. I did a dip stick at home and showed infection at doctors office there is no infection. Forgot to mention that on SAT. WHEN PAIN WAS SO BAD WHEN I SAT DOWN IT FELT SOMETHING JABBING ME. THIS IS GONE NOW BUT STILL HAVE PAIN. ACROSS ABDOMEN I HAVE HAD A HYSTERECTOMY ABOUT 12 YEARS AGO ALONG WITH A BLADDER TUCK. SOMETIME IT SEEMS LIKE URINE IS DISCOLORED
Pain mosttly due to stones in Kidney or Ureter.
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for your query, based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have pain in abdomen repeatedly which is likely to be due to stone.
I shall be happy if you can post me few more details to help me in making comments on your problem.
1) What do you mean by discolouration of urine is it reddish , brown or yellow?
2) have you done ultrasound scanning of abdomen very recently?
Pain due to stone is not related to the size of stone and occurs only when stone gets impacted in passage of urine and obstructs flow of urine down. The moment stone gets dislodged and urine starts flowing down your pain will subside This is what is happening in your case.
Please get following basic tests done to confirm the diagnosis.
1)Routine urine test and urine culture to find out the organisms causing this infection and antibiotics to which they are sensitive to.
2) Ultrasound scanning of abdomen and pelvis to locate the site and size of stone and degree of obstruction they are causing?
Please take broad spectrum antibiotics like Cefexine along with urinary anti spasmodic like Cyclopam twice daily and urine alkaliser thrice daily.Later on switch on to appropriate antibiotics as per culture report.
Get the prescription of medicines from your family Physician.
Ensure to drink more water. To keep your urine dilute This will help to control dysuria.
Consult qualified Urologist for clinical assessment and further treatment that will depend upon results of scanning and final diagnosis.
Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions ,
I shall be happy to help you
Thanks and Regards.

Possibility of pain due to injured Urethra
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for follow up.The blood stained urine can be due to injury to urethral passage resulting from while passing the stone .
However this has to be confirmed by Ultrasound scanning and comparing the recent one with old Scanning report.
In the mean while continue the treatment which I have suggested in my reply earlier.
Thanks and Regards.
