Brief Answer:
because of gastric reflux or hiatus hernia here.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome to HCM.

I have read your query and understand the concern.

Heart palpitations could be due to anxiety or stress or anemia or gastric reflux or hiatus hernia or may be due to ectopic beats.

In healthy individuals, it is mostly of anxiety or stress but if you do not have shortness of breath or wheezing and any other symptoms with normal lab tests,EKG and Chest X-ray,then it is likely because of gastric reflux or hiatus hernia here .

So,I will not think about any underlying heart beat problem,so no need to worry about it.

Usually it is not serious but you should consult your physician or gastroenterologist for hiatus hernia and reflux problem if palpitations persists.

Meanwhile, continue to take protonix, Benicar and simvastatin as prescribed by your doctor.

Hope this helps.

Regards,
