Brief Answer: it can be due to diabetes and dry skin Detailed Answer: Hi, Thanks for writing to HCM. If you can describe your symptoms in detail I will be better able to help. Getting recurrent infection is common in diabetes if the sugar levels are not controlled properly, or if there is recurrent trauma in the area or if hygiene is not maintained adequately. So, if you are having one or more of these factors, then please rectify them. Till then maintain adequate moisture in your skin to prevent them from drying and cracking, as these cracks acts as nidus for infection. Hope, I have been helpful. Regards Dr. Ashish Verma
