Question : My girl friend had candidiasis and she treated it but it seems it was transfered to me (man) before she treated hers. So anytime we have sex she gets it again.

Brief Answer:
Both of you resume a fresh treatment for candidiasis

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
Thanks for posting your query.
Nothing to get panicky.
Once again both of you start the treatment for yeast infection under the guidance of an experienced physician with oral and local anti-fungal antibiotics that have good effect on candidaisis. It is better to have the treatment for 3-4 weeks during which time avoid sex. Your physician would look for some predisposing factors for candidasis like hyperglycemia, prolonged antibiotic therapy, immunosuppression, drugs causing immunosuppression, oral contraceptives and other hormonal therapies and try to either control or stop them. That would assure both a complete cure.

Brief Answer:
Treatment has to be taken under the supervision of your physician

Detailed Answer:
HI,
Welcome back.

Clotrimazole cream for you and vaginal tablets for your girl friend along with Flucanazole tablets 150 mg once a week for 4 weeks can be taken to get a total cure. Before which both of you have to be examined and investigated for any predisposing factors and confirm the diagnosis of candidaisis once again and the treatment have to be taken as per the guidance and under the supervision of your physician.
