Question : I have had an on and off fever for a few days, am very tired and achy in bouts and have a pain in my lower left abdomen when I breathe in deeply. I am drinking lots of fluids and taking Tylenol, mostly because I have a headache that wont go away. No diarrhea, more constipated and bloated. Not much appetite. May be a bit better day by day but still need to rest and get hot sweaty flashes. Lots of gas...

Brief Answer:
Typhoid fever should be excluded.
Detailed Answer:
Hi
One of the commonest fevers which is associated with bowel is Typhoid fever (Enteric fever). If it is less than 1 week,Blood culture has to be done.If fever is present for 2 weeks, then Serological test like Widal has to be done.
Please take fresh fruits and vegetables.
Avoid Non vegetarian food.
I prescribe Paracetamol tablet 650mg 5 times a day along with a Pre and probiotic till blood results. If Typhoid is confirmed, I add Antibiotic like Chloramphenicol tablet.
Please consult your doctor, get investigated and take appropriate prescription.
Hope I answered your query.
If you have any questions, I will clarify further.
Wish you good health.
Regards
