Question : Hi there I found a small lump on the front of my neck about 3 fingers above the clavical. It comes and goes within seconds. Today I noticed a hard cartalge bump on my right shoulder around 4 fingers below my clavical. This lump has stayed. Now I did work my shoulders yesterday at the gym. The last 3 weeks I have also had headaches everyday. Any suggestions.
I'm 32 110lbs eat healthy do not smoke or drink and I go to the gym regularly.

Thank you

Brief Answer:
Most probably muscle spasms, vascular /hematoma. USG will help.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for your query.

1. The small neck lump which appears and disappears on the front of the neck is most likely to be a muscle spasm or a vascular mass. The hard lump on the front of the shoulder is most likely to be a muscle spasm or a hematoma secondary to the shoulder workout.

2. You have not mentioned if both these lumps are on the same (right) side. If you can upload close-up images of these lumps, it will help. Otherwise a direct examination and palpation along with a USG (Ultrasound) will settle the diagnosis.

3. Meanwhile stop your shoulder workouts and apply heat fomentation to the areas. Further treatment will depend upon the type of lumps.

I hope that I have answered your query. If you have any more questions I will be available to answer them.

Regards.
