Question : I have 2 bumps on the roof of my mouth, about in the middle. They feel hard with my tongue and are red when I look at them in the mirror. Do you know what they might be?

Brief Answer:
Need not worry.

Detailed Answer:
Hello madam, welcome to HCM forum.

There are two small bony projections on the roof of mouth at the posterior most part of hard palate. These are normal only, and are part of our palatal bone.

If this is not the case, another possibility is a mucus retention cyst. Neoplastic conditions like minor salivary gland tumors are very rare.

So, if you have any doubt regarding the condition, it will be fine if we could it examined by a doctor.

Hope this answer will help.

Thank you.
