What Causes Red Colored Lesion On The Hips?

Question: I have developed a strawberry colored mark or lesion on my left hip. No pain. It is smooth and has irregular shape. What could it be?
Brief Answer:
Hi XXXX!!
I would recommend you to send me a picture of that lesion so that a proper diagnosis is made as it is very difficult to make out what it can be without seeing it.

I went to bed and did not get your message until this morning. I am alone and cannot get another pic. So sorry.
The second photo is a good one and shows the fading happening. Today it is red again. Did nothing different so cannot be lotion or detergent. Matter of fact didn't have any lotion on.

Brief Answer:
Seems to be eczema
Detailed Answer:
Hi again
I have seen your photograph and it looks like a patch of eczema. You should apply cortisone cream on it and a good quality moisturizing lotion on the body frequently and liberally. This will go away in few days.
Wish you speedy recovery.
