Question : Hi, my infant has a red mark on the right eyelid, below the right eye and on the forehead. is it a salmon patch or port wine stain? It appeared a week after birth.
Brief Answer:
Red Mark
Detailed Answer:
Hello. I just read through your question.
These are very common finding in newborns. Red marks on the eyelids, forehead, bridge of the nose and back of the neck, are found frequently, and often do not appear until several days after birth. They are harmless and ultimately disappear. It can take months to years for that to happen, but it does ultimately happen.
