Question : Hello, about two and half to three months ago I had a stupid sexual encounter where the condom had slipped off and I didn't realize it until several minutes later. Being a hypochondriac I started frantically inspecting my private area for anything out of the ordinary and I came across a small red patch on the right side rim of my glans. I am unsure if it had been there in the past since this is the first time I looked so thoroughly. It's only about 2-3 mm across, doesn't hurt or itch from what I can tell, and doesn't appear to be fluid filled. It also gets much more red when erected which I assume is just from increased blood flow. I'm obviously petrified that it's hpv or herpes but due to the length of time that it's been there with no worsening symptoms or increased growth I'm hopeful that's it is not. Are there any infections or rashes that would cause this?
Brief Answer:
It sounds like syphilis
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.
It sounds like syphilis though it difficult to tell online.
Syphilis causes a painless ulcer like patch.
It does not seem to be hpv or herpes.
You need to get it checked properly and get a VDRL (test for syphilis).
If positive then you need to start on Injection Penicillin
