Posted on Fri, 27 Jan 2017
Question: Hello. My husband is in usa and he suddenly got red rashes all over his body yesterday evening. He took 2 Diphenhydrmine and it subsided. In the morning he could see a few rashes again so he took 1 Diphenhydrmin. Right now he has it again all over his body and it's more severe then before. Can you suggest what should he do for this. He is traveling to XXXXXXX after 24hrs. Please recommend XXXXXXX medicines.

Brief Answer:
Urticaria

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to healthcare magic and thanks for putting up the query
this seems to be an allerguc response of the body..it can be an allergy to some eatable or a skin product or can be just idiopathic..
As your husband has to travel, i would advise to take a non sedative antiallergic medicine like fexofenadine 180 mg stat and sos..the medicines are available only on prescription.. The best would be to get examined by a dermatologist before the travel..also avoid anything he suspects may be causing allergy..
Once he gets time, he should go for skin allergy tests..
Any further queries are always welcome..
Thanks and regards
