Question: Hi Doctor, I am Clodelle Bainsi.I am currently suffering from genital herpes and using the DMSO Cream aloe Vera XXXXXXX scented and hydrogen peroxide 35 food grade to treat my sores and get some relief as I have constant itching around my genitals. I recently noticed some changes on my skin after applying this cream, parts beneath my tighs and my vagina are looking different, reddish and some little rashes,I think its the effect of this DMSO cream, skin irritation, reddish hair colour on my vagina.Do I have any reason to be scared? Please I kindly need your help? Should I stop using this cream or how can I help treat my sores during occurrence. Please kindly help me respond to my questions. Kind Regards

Brief Answer:
Herpes treatments- the most recommended ones.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thank you for using HCM to post your question.

Is this cream recommended by your doctor?
That cream, it's not from the recommended treatments of Herpes genitalis.

Instead what is recommended is:
recommended treatment options for daily suppressive therapy for recurrent genital herpes
Acyclovir tablet 400 mg orally twice daily or Famciclovir 250 mg orally twice daily or Valacyclovir 500 mg orally once daily (might be less effective than other dosing regimens in patients with ≥ 10 recurrences per year), etc.

So I would advice to talk to your doctor. If You have tried any of these and not getting better, then maybe what you have it's not herpes and you need confirmation. Because these ones above and the best treatments for herpes.

Hope this is helpful.
