What Causes Red Spots On The Tongue?

Question : Hi doctor. I've been having this red spot on my tongue for the past 2 days. Is also have a moderate pain in that area. I have attached a picture. Can you please advise? Thank you!

I have read your query and gone through the image you have attached. As far as i have observed it seems like inflammed papilla of tongue.
For this i will suggest you to maintain good oral hygiene and take vitamin B complex supplement by consulting with local doctor. For pain you can apply ointment containing choline salicylate and lignocaine gel twice daily.
