Question : hi I have itching on my right thigh and I see several marks on both right and left side, plz suggest
Brief Answer:
Tinea. Topical antifungal cream and cetrizine tablet
Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for writing to us
I am dr.kakkar(dermatologist). I have gone through your query and i have also reviewed the image.
I can see a few red, scaly patches in these images which seem like tinea/ fungal infection to me.
If i was the treating doctor i would ask you to use a topical antifungal+steroid combination cream e.g clotimazole1%+beclomethasone dipropionate 0.025%cream ( clotrin-B Or candid-B cream), twice daily for 2 weeks.
In addition i would have suggested an oral antihistamine e.g cetrizine 10mg tablet once daily for symptomatic relief from itching.
Regards

Brief Answer:
Add an oral antifungal e.g fluconazole tablet
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Yes this preparation is fine. It is antifungal and steroid combination and should be effective..
Most common reason for recurrence is inadequate or incomplete treatment Or if conditions conducive for fungal growth persist e.g heat, humidity and sweating.
For repeated recurrences you may also take a tablet of oral antifungal e.g fluconazole 150mg tablet once every week for 4-6 weeks in addition to using the cream.
Bath twice daily specially if hot and humid. Wear cotton undergarments.
