Question : Hello, I recently used a deodorant containing aluminum ( while traveling). This deodorant has caused
redness and itchiness not only under my arms, but in the folds of my skin near my underarms as well.
I do not normally use these types if deodorants, but because of it size, I packed it in my suitcase.
My question: how long might this condition last and what can I do to speed up the healing process?
I am presently not using anything on my underarms.

Likely to be hyper sensitivity to deodorant

Welcome to Healthcare-Magic
Greetings of the day
Dear Ms,
If the redness and itching have developed soon after application of deodorant, its likely to be hyper sensitivity to contents of the deodorant.
Local application of mild Steroid like Mometasone , followed by application of Calamine lotion will be helpful. Also Hydroxyzine or Cetrizine can be used for control of itching.
Do get back to e if you need any further assistance, will be glad to assist you.
