Question : I think I touched a plant and then touched my eye. It is painful swollen and very red. There is also a stringy puss like substance in it.

Hello,

I understand your concern. It seems like there is an allergic reaction to your eye so I recommend you use a mild steroid cream such as 1% hydrocortisone cream or ointment, or alternatively pimecrolimus 1% cream to be used on the eye. This should bring down inflammation by stopping the allergic mounting response.
If this doesn't work, a short course of oral steroids prescribed by your doctor should be solve the problem.
