Question : Hi. I have a redness around the head of my penis under my foreskin. Just a little itchy and sore. I have not had sex for a while (my partner is pregnant) so don't think it is anything contagious. I am 46 and don't have diabities to my knowledge. I have some Fucidin cream. Would that help?

I am Dr.Kakkar (Dermatologist). I have gone through your query and i have noted your concetlrn.
Perhaps you have a yeast infection i.e candidal balanoposthitis.
I suggest you to use a topical antifungal cream e.g clotrimazole 1% cream, twice daily, for a week. Clotrimazole cream is available over the counter.
