What Causes Redness With Peeling Of Skin?

Question: For three weeks now both of my arms have been going through what feels like a sunburn. They turn red, they start to burn and then after three days they start to peel. Once most of the skin has peeled off, it starts all over. It is only on my arms that I am having this issue. Any ideas?
Also the cycle has nothing to do with exposure to sun.

Thank you for the quick reply.
Below are answers to your questions.
I will like to know the following details :
1)Have you recently changed your soap/ cream or products like that ? I have not changed any cleaning or skin care products that I use. I've reviewed everyone of them and I've been using them all for at least 2+ years.
2) Any history of unpleasant sensation on sun exposure ? none
3) mosquitoes around ? Yes, but no bites that I'm aware of and they've just come on the scene as the weather has warmed up over the last few days.
4) are the lesions itchy ? Not necessarily lesions. My entire arm turns red as if it is sunburned.
I will upload pictures. However, it will be hard to tell anything as I am in the end of the peeling stage and they are just beginning to turn red.
One other note, due to physical activity (I race bicycles) and I don't like body hair, I shave my arms. However I also shave my entire body.
Thank you again for your help.

Brief Answer:
Photo dermatitis and its treatment
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,
Welcome again.
It seems you are suffering from Photo dermatitis. It is a kind of dermatitis in which sun exposure is implicated. It may or may not be associated with definite sunexposure. As other UV radiation sources like tubelights are also involved in causation.
I usually advice my patients to apply a broadspectrum sunscreen in the morning and mild moderate potency topical steroids like mometasone to apply over affected part in night time.
Additionally antihistaminics like Levocetrizine / fexofenadine are advised in night time for 1-2 weeks.
For hair, you may go for trimming rather than shaving.
I hope it helps.
If you have any further query you may ask me.
Stay healthy.
