Brief Answer:
Explained.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for writing to us with your health concern.
Pain killers contain NSAIDS - non steroidal anti inflammatory substances.
They reduce uterine pain, cramps and contractions.
Also, they inhibit the hormones that cause excessive pain and bleeding.
Pain occurs when the uterus contracts, and with contractions, there is blood flow.
So when you take pain killers, contractions are lessened and thus the flow is reduced.
All the best

Brief Answer:
You can take painkillers at times.

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for the appreciation.
Yes, it is perfectly alright to take painkillers once in a while.
As you get older, your menstrual cycles will stabilize, and the pain and cramps will lessen.
You should take lots of rest at that time.
ALso, lots of water, lemonade etc.
Avoid chocolate, cheese, fried products, processed foods at that time.
You can definitely take painkillers for the discomfort , there is no side effect in taking them.
Take a hot water bottle and rest in bed at that time.
Take care.

I have one more query.I would like to know whether the reduced blood flow, due to the pain killer that i took yesterday, can cause any harm or side affects to my body health.

Brief Answer:
No side effects at all.

Detailed Answer:
Not at all.
There are many women who take painkillers every month regularly for menstrual pain and heavy bleeding.
There are no side effects to your body , or to your health because of taking them.
Please dont worry about it at all.
