Question : Dear Doctor,
I had a full sedated colonoscopy in XXXXXXX 2015 after my pregnancy and everything was fine. When I was pregnant I has polyp removed. It was benign and everything was ok. From October I have been having not every day bright red blood on my stools and when I wipe. I went to the doctor that said that it was due to my hemorroids (I have internal and external). but i am worried. what do you thonk it might be? I am so scared.

Brief Answer:
Hello do not worry
Detailed Answer:
Hi
welcome to HCM
I understand your concern
Well looks like not much to worry
Likely that it is hemorrhoids bleeding with the kind of history you are giving and given that the colonoscopy was OK earlier
Try the following things which will help you in long term:-
-Avoid straining for stools
-Ensure adequate water and fibre intake in food
-Have lots of salads and fruits
-Go for regular walk and exercise regularly
-Can take some stool softener like lactulose 15 ml at night
hope this answers your query
wish you a speedy recovery
happy to help

Brief Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX very very unlikely
Detailed Answer:
Hello, Welcome back to HCM
Thank you for the query
It is very unlikely that you have colon cancer as you have a normal recent colonoscopy, your symptoms also do not fit in so do not worry just relax
Best wishes
