Question : I had been getting 7-9 hours of restful sleep a night until 12/16 then I am restless a good portion of the night and awake several times. I don't recall doing anything differently; however, this has been going on since then.

Brief Answer:
You need to manage your anxiety. Stress complicates matters.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I understand your apprehension but feel that a careful evaluation of your case in needed in order to be able to identify the underlying causes. As such, some anxiolytic like alprazolam in low doses should provide relief but these are prescription medicines and need to be written by a doctor. So you would need to see a doctor.

Meanwhile, try to relax. Avoid taking stimulants like coffee in hours before you go to bed. Take a light dinner. You may listen to soft music and relax as you try to doze off.

Let me know specifically if I could help and I would be glad to do so.

Regards
