Question : yea, im 60 and i noticed that my nails, on my fingers have like ridges on them
Brief Answer:
many causes
Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for your question
There are many causes for nail ridges. Some causes are benign and other causes may indicate an underlying disease. If the ridges are vertical (going from base to tip of nails) these are common and usually benign. Horizontal ridges (going from side to side) are more concerning and may occur due to infection, vascular disease, diabetes or vitamin deficiency. If your ridges are vertical, don't worry, but if they are horizontal see your doctor or a dermatologist for further examinations.
