might be stomach infection; give a detailed history

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for posting your query in healthcaremagic.com
This is Dr. Swarnava dattagupta answering your query.

I have gone through your query and understand your concern.
you have provided a very short history. It might be a stomach infection. But I need to know a few more things to tell you further on this question like-
Did you have any rich oily diet or heavy diet before the start of incidence?
Are you having nausea or vomiting alongwith?
Is the pain constant or is present only sometime?
How is your bowel and urine now?

Kindly give answers to the above so that I can tell you further.

For now, if some patient presents to me with such history, I prescribe a course of antibiotics like ofloxacin-ornidazole and also drotavarine or decolic for pain relief. Alongwith light soft diet and plenty of water should be taken. Also gall bladder problems have to ruled out if required.

Hope i have answered your question.
If you have any further questions i will be happy to help.
Regards

I am in consulting job so mostly having outside foods as staying away from family due to work. This is a light pain which mainly i feel after eating something except boil things or if i keep empty stomach for long time. Urine is ok but bowel is not cleared everyday. These days i eat very less as homely food not available.

I am planning to go an USG also but presently I am out of the country for waiting to go back to XXXXXXX by 10th July.

Brief Answer:
follow as advised

Detailed Answer:
Hello again.

First of all, after coming back to XXXXXXX you can get your USG done. It is just as a precaution but has to be done to rule out liver causes.
Now, irregular food habit is the most common cause of indigestion and later, gut ulcer. So, I would suggest regular food intake and taking small frequent meals daily. Lots of oral fluid, fresh fruits, boiled veg and avoidance of rich oily junk food will be best for your health.
Also, a course of pantoprazole-levosulpiride combination for 1 month will be very useful. Regular brisk exercise is another way to enhance your metabolism.

Wish you good health.
Give me a feedback later if possible.
Regards.

Brief Answer:
you are welcome

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
You are welcome.

As you do not have nausea like symptoms, domperidone is not mandatory. Anyways, after you finish current strip of PanD, you can shift to PanL. Levosulpiride helps in regular bowel movements.

Good luck.
Regards.
