What Causes Right Sided Back Pain Above The Waist?

Question : I am female. I have a pain on the right side of my back about four inches above my waist. It hurts when I move like a muscular pain. I have had no change in activity in the last few days. I have never had this pain. It is worse today but began yesterday. This afternoon it hurts when I am NOT moving. I am going to try an aspirin to see if I can alleviate the discomfort. Could it be my spleen?? Or a lung thing? Thanking you in advance for your response

There are a number of possible causes of this pain. Taking into consideration the site and nature of the pain, I think it could be a kidney problem, possibly a stone or an infection. It would be impossible to be more precise than this without further investigations. A CT or MRI would help in addition to bloods.
I suggest you go to the ED for assessment.
